So What Happens If/When The SCG Ends?

I understood what you were saying without the example. I just don't see the sense in playing 8 games out of 9. You may as well play the other one.

...and yes, 2007 proved that the SCG is a worthy venture. 43000K fans where the underdog came out on top was a great thing.

Hate to bring up this dead horse...but just imagine the attendance if that game or last year's game would have been in more centrally located Jackson. Grambling travelled to B'ham but not near as many as would have if the game was in Jackson. I know you should support your school regardless of location, yada, yada, yada...but plenty more of the folk in a 200 mile radius of Grambling would have driven to Jackson as opposed to B'ham.

Since it's gonna be Grambling vs Jackson anyway and because it's really no home field advantage for Jackson against us (hadn't lost in Memorial since 1999), we might as well play it there.

MD, I have always been a supporter of the SCG (maybe not for it to be in Bham) and also the Heritage Bowl.

Also, JSU has never lucked into a SCG. That would be AAMU. Now that the 9-game mandate is in effect, you can kiss Bham goodbye. If we always had this mandate, AAMU would have never to this day gone to Bham for the SCG and Hughes would have never been fired so we would have never heard of James Bell. Hughes was a victim of the 7-game format.

JSU, GSU, and SU will always have the advangate because we are in the Big 3. The rest of you have to beat at least two out of 3 of us to get to Bham. Whereas we only have to beat two of the Big 3.

Why you acting like the things you are saying are your ideas. If you had not tried to ignore my threads and listen to me just maybe you could have become the leader of the JSU Mafia. AAMU went to several SCGs and only won one of them. If you had been paying attention, it was the JSU Mafia that were saying things like if all games had counted AAMU would not have gone to the SCG. GR was the most vocal of all JSU Mafia in his replys to who should have played in the SCG. It was JSU folks who critizied the SWAC Office about everything.

Mighty dog shut up, aamu is smalltime and you know they sneaked in the championship three times because they didn't play at least one of the big three those years. It's gonna be almost impossible for you mutts to beat JSU, SU and GSU all in one year.
aamu SUCKS.
The big 3 rules.

So you could still schedule 3 OOC games in the 11 game seasons and 4 in the 12 game seasons.

Your only saying that about the SCG for 2007 because j su was there, if any other team was there you would be saying scrap it. When the rep from the east is the 4th or 5th best team in the conferance and they get to go to the top game....SMH....

We play by the rules.

MikeBigg, who are we going to play in a 12th game?

I don't know about the we, but Grambling wouldn't have problems getting a game... we do it in seasons when there's a twelfth game for both subdivisions.

Grambling always play a full schedule... but Braddy won't play PV at home (your place) or Eastern Michigan on the road. Maybe yall need to check into that.

:retard: Maybe for Gram but not SU. Famu and Tenn St draws way more interest from fans than Southeastern and McNeese.

And that's cool for you guys that it works that way... I think we would be better served with all 4 home and home ooc games USUALLY being within 2-4 hrs driving distance from Grambling.

If PV did it's job and won the West for a change, perhaps you wouldn't be complaining. LOL!!

Even the years when JSU was not in Bham, I never said to scrap it! EVER! We have seen some good games there, even rematches. I think UAPB beat AAMU in the regular season but AAMU won the SCG. Not sure about the championship AlaState won.

I just don't see the sense in play 8 games out of 9. It just makes no sense to ME...and I am THE what? :D

Well, if all games counted, AAMU would have never seen Bham: FACT

BUT as a JSU fan, we simply held our coach responsible for doing what he was supposed to do regardless of how unfair the system was. We challenged him to beat AlaState and Grambling and he failed.

At the beginning of the season you knew what games you had to win to get into the championship game. We pointed this out to you when we were accused of backing into the SCG, but JSU Folks could not understand the rules.

If we didn't then, we do now. Hahahahahaha!!!

Southern beat Bama State on the last play of the game in Montgomery that year .... Emile Bryant's 40+ yard TD reception.

uuum you STILL backed into the SCG.

AND JSU had a 10 year wait.

JayRob, there are still some rules that JSU need to observe, but keep doing what you are doing and you will see.

We had a ten year wait because AAMU was using that back door. IF you ever want AAMU to get to Bham again, your only hope is to not get all 9 games to count because you know that head to head, AAMU can't beat JSU...nor can AAMU beat Grambling.

did we backdoor our way in or did you backdoor your way OUT?

The General may be on the way to save the day and straighten out all the Presidents at these other nine schools.:read:
