LSU to Play In-State FCS Programs?

Nothing would turn out bad.........LSU would kick us to sleep and everyone would be gone by the third quarter.........We are not ready to play LSU............a long, long way from being ready.........

As long as the media/parents etc. looks at our schools the way the way they look at OUR schools and visa versa non of OUR schools would be remotely ready to play any one of THEM schools..

So True... it would be pretty nasty (score wise/health wise).
But how would it be bad for BR?

I personally don't think it would be bad for BR. From a logistical stand point and an in-state/same city stand point, I think it would be great.

I think that idiot-of-a-Board Chair-we-have wants to see this happen. Even though we wouldn't be getting D-1 cupcake money, I'd like to see it happen.

Heck, FAMU plays FSU and Miami every once in a while, ya'll will be playing MSU, heck, why not?

To be honest, the Louisiana schools need to take note of what LSU's economics has shown to be a good business model. Play as many home games as possible. In the case of the rest of us, that means playing as many in state games as possible. Cuts travel costs and is good for the recruitment of students and athletes. It would improve the level of play for all parties involved... I can't wait to catch us against Northwestern and hope we pick up McNeese for next year and whomever else the years after that. At least two in-state non-conference games per year.

I hope Northwestern bring fans galore and tailgate their azzes off and sit over across from us pissed all night!

I don't know about that. Them mofos would try to break 100 on us.

Don't yall play 'em in basketball and baseball and they try and do the same thing? Think about the bottom line.....the dollar bill, you know, the thing that makes the world go round and the thing that help keep from laying folks off from work.

LSU fans are famous for doing really bad things to their opponents fans during the game. They have a tradition of throwing cold drinks full of ice, among other things on the vistiors section. You know what would happen if they did that to a SU fan. Lets not talk about the arguements that would go on in offices all around BR. WWBR(World War BR).

Famu has never played FSU in football. They have played Miami and Florida but not FSU. Last time FSU and Famu played in basketball they had a brawl, and havent played ever since. You dont play a intown power. Its to many bad things that could happen that out weighs the good that could happen. Too risky on so many levels.

Hell i would love Gram to play LATech, only 5 minutes away! That would be something, them white folks have there senses not to start no bs!

You know them white folks won't do that to black folks, i think they have sense lol!

Have you ever been to a LSU game. When their drunk they think they have SUper powers. I think it would be good for Gram to play them yall dont share the same city.

LaTech and LSU arent even close to being on the same level. Not a good comparision.

Bruh Ruston is one of the most racist town in Louisiana, i know Tech and LSU aren't on the same level in sports but i guarantee their people have the same mindset! I noticed your only complaint about SU and LSU playing, you think LSU would disrespect yall so that's why i said something about GSU and Tech because i know the mindset of them peeps in Ruston, but i'm sure they have sense not to be disrespectful!

The only LSU game i went to is when they played Notre Dame in Shreveport for the Independence Bowl! LSU isn't a team that i go crazy over so it makes no sense to go to their games lol!

I thought successful people didn't mind taking risks. If it works out, SU has a huge payday of over 300,000-plus dollars in it's already weakened budget and LSU gets an easy win. It's a win-win situation.

It's only risky if both fanbases are crazy.:emlaugh:

I went with two friends of mind during early 90's on a recruiting trip. Neither went to LSU  after what we heard/ witnessed.

SU and LSU must really hate each other lol! Seriously i don't think they would do that to an HBCU including SU, them white folks fear us lol! They know giving azzbeatings is in our DNA so they won't push us much !

When I went to school 90's yes, dont know what these kids feel nowadays. It wasnt just the school the black community couldnt stand them either back then. But things are different now in the black community Lsu is looked upon in a good way.

Well, one of your ADs wanted to SU to play McNeese, NWState, Nicholls and FAMU as OOC opponents for SU and Pete said he would quit if they gave him that schedule. I do believe that LA has too many 1-AA programs in the state for you all not to play each other on a regular basis.
