SWAC Baseball Scenarios - TSU Can Only Watch

SU lost to a community college?!:noidea:

It was an exhibition game dumb azz and plus he wanted to give his bullpen the most work in the 2nd game. That's why they have the doubleheader right before the tournament now go somewhere.

Why u let this guy get under your skin ?

I see it was a junior college, but the sentiment is the same. I'm sick of smart alecky comments in an informative thread.

yall got more excuses than a crack addict... It could have been as you said, but here's why I doubt it. Cador should be smart enuff to know that his team needs to be playing well headed into the tourney. If all he wanted was to get his other pitchers some work, he could have arranged an intrasquad scrimmage.

Maybe it did happen for the reasons yall claim... but I just don't see that. Winning and losing is contagious and a good coach wants to be on a hot streak entering post season play.

did you read the article. Cador said it, and the beat writer said it.

PS. You better shut your mouth before we pitch one of our top pitchers Monday, if the game is needed.

Here you go MikeBigg

What we wanted to do, especially in the second game,” Cador said, “was experiment.”

That they did.

Some things worked. Some didn’t.

A quick look at the Jaguars’ experiments, and their level of success:

SU sent many seldom-used relievers to the mound against LSU-E, and Cador said he hoped one of them would sparkle.
That, in turn, would make Cador comfortable in turning to them sometime during the SWAC tournament.

In the second game, Spear left after four innings, and Southern had a 7-1 lead.

I stand corrected...but trust me, Roger didn't really want to lose that game. Still it showed him what he needs to know about his bullpen guys.

C'mon Mike, Roger does this every year, hell I've seen him do it against LSU-BR when he knew it didn't matter one way or another.

I really want PVU in the tournament because nothing is like those 15-20 fans coming down from PVU to BR.  I remember last year it was full of TSU and PVU fans the day SU had lost to PVU both games.

Gram would have way more fans than that. :retard:

Bigg trust Cador didnt care about winning that game.

No...all coaches care, if not then he's not worth a shat as a coach. However, it's a matter of him being okay with risking a loss in order to get some work in for the guys he wanted to get a look at.

Not trying to be an azz or know it all... but the reality is that he was willing to sacrifice the win, but trust me he didn't tell those relievers "don't worry about winning, we just want to give yall some work".

He took out starters(Olivar,M. Thomas, Franklin, McDavid, Fraizer Hall, and Mejica) also.

In all actuality, that's all I was saying, however I didn't go into detail like MB.

Still though, whether it's an community college or not, you're repping the SWAC and to an extent, D-1A baseball. We already get enough flack about losing to out of conference lower division type schools.

One never wants to lose to a team such as this, especially just before the playoffs.

This game was a exibition, meaning it wont count on the win/ loss record. Basically a scrimmage.

I understand that, but other schools looking at this and even potential recruits may consider such a score, eventhough it was exhibition.

I'm sure the community college team did all it could to win that game and I'm almost sure they celebrated afterwards.
Little brother always wanna beat big brother even if it is just for fun.

Carry on though.....

First they are not a community college. Secondly LSU-E is a very talented team, they have some very good players, SU signed one from there last season, and hopefully sign a couple in the future. They always have players that sign with SEC teams. Trust a lost to them wont hurt recruiting, because its no where in the record books.
