:lol: did you hear the trumpets? They were hitting every not but the right note... just "BLOWING" loud ass wrong notes. Somebody arranged their part A LOT too hight for them.

New school trash talk........Don't make em like they used to in the SWAC.:shame: Thank goodness for the old school....internet done turned competition to nothing more than petty and bitter pill talk about who did what wrong. If folks in all the bands spent this much energy perfecting their music and shows.....we would have a better product to view on the field and hear in the stands.

Thought so.. We can be here all month posting un-satisfactory stuff of that JSU band... Hell people from JSU posting stuff of JSU thinking it's tight and it ain't really cutting the mustard... Oh well... I guess I just made myself whole..

If GR, JayRob or even TP come in here with their "so-called" band knowledge it will never get me worked up usually cause they don't know what the hell they be talking about.. It's must be something dude is saying that must be hitting home it you all are getting worked up by some stuff a guy that didn't march in SU band but been watching bands most of his life is saying.. That's not on SU band.. That's on YOU and who ever else is taking it to heart...
And to address the thanks for OLD-School.. again even though it ain't SU members digging up clips of JStank... I know MANY of Old school folk that marched WITH and before JR that clown these bands WAAAY far worse than anything being said on the net... They just don't get on the internet like that.. Matter of fact I know some personally that viewed this board and told me they couldn't get on here because they would probably get kicked off.....lol
Opinions is just that... personalities are all different.. JR is not the type to clown other bands as much because of his choice... But a lot of other folk from his same time is nothing like that when it comes to their choice words.... They just aren't on here..

Folks don't ever hang around to criticize their own band like they criticize the "S". That's just downright amazing. If SU sounded like 90% of these other bands....SU would get drilled on every clip that 100's of "other" people post". And, if they'd stay on their own band's arse like they stay on the "S" week-to-week then....:noidea:

I'm harder on the Boom than any Juke has ever been. I make no bones about not liking the crafting of the SU sound signature, but SU plays that signature well ... I feel the same way about the Grateful Dead, but they do what they do well.
As for the Boom, we seem to have abandoned the elements of our sound signature that made it great. That is the painful part.
With that said, I heard the posted clip. It is a horrible musical presentation of a horror effect - which is what was attempted. We have HS's here that do it very well. So, SU doesn't do horror well. No big deal. Nice try. Go back and work it some more. I haven't heard anyone else in the SWAC pull it off yet either.
There are a lot of other things they do better than anyone else.
