Them Cats know they were marching! I love the "Swing and Sway"

The Boom was on FIYA back in those days! I saw that footage on television the night it went down. Must have seen it over 100 times since. lol. It never gets old though.

I give the Boom a 10 for that performance! That performance is right up there with the Electric Chair skit performed at JSU's 1990 Homecoming against Texas Southern.

Love it! We were in the dorm SCREAMING so loud that night as we watched. We were very proud of our BOOM.

Still have the BET footage from that night, VINTAGE!! I also have the tape of the JSU-Alcorn game in 92 at Lorman!

Awesome Sound, Energy, Precision and Showmanship!

That 90 JSU band was a monster......clearly the top band that year in my opinion.......A Dowell Taylor masterpiece.

I remember being stationed in Va when that Motown 30 show came on......I was like damn the Boom is bringing the noise on this one.

My homeboy Ira Vaughn and frat Al Mac were doing the thing up front with the other DM.

Yes we were! I remember that night like yesterday! We had popcorn, folks piled into rooms to watch it together, just about every door on throughout Alexander was open. We were some proud nigras that night.

Once again, this is the type of energy and precision that we, so called, ole' heads speak of when we talk to those in today's band. If you didn't bring it every week, somebody would cut your head OFF!!! Somebody needs to find some 80s "Ocean of Soul". I'm telling you, it wasn't a joke back then. We busted our butts in training camp and every week of the season, because you just never knew what you would face. Then, those of us in the Juke, had the added pressure of being compared to the legacy of the Human Jukebox even if nobody was across the field. Never a week off. Never an opportunity to let the guards down. But, I love it. It prepared us to approach our professional careers with the right drive and focus. Someone is always gunning for what you have or desire.

Peace..

Now that’s when the “Boomâ€￾ was the "Boom"! Unlike the present day “Boomâ€￾, which is a reincarnated version of the “Human Jukeboxâ€￾, the 1990 version rocked the house!

Perhaps one of the greatest shows of all time on a national stage by a SWAC band.

This is the only thing JSU Band has done and the only thing that was done was marching in parade formation. The best? Do some Superbowls and Presidential Inaugural Parades then get back to everyone.

Mods, can ya'll NOT let the jealousy of the SU people ruin a good thread? sheesh!

It's not like i'm lying. This is the only major thing JSU Band has done. Don't get angry over the truth. Jealous? JSU's resume doesn't even come close to SU's.

Post a video of anything the Jukebox has done that can top The BOOM's performance in the above video.
