Southern’s 2019 football schedule includes a date with an FBS school, a non-conference game with a MEAC rival, and just four true home games.

The Southern schedule was released on Wednesday with the inclusion of next season’s SWAC lineup.

The Jaguars, which finished the 2018 season as the SWAC Western Division champions, open the season with an Aug. 31 road game against McNeese State before road dates at Memphis on Sept. 7.

The seven-game league slate concludes with a contest versus Grambling in the Bayou Classic on Nov. 30.

Southern opens SWAC play on Sept. 28 at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

A rematch of the SWAC Championship Game against Alcorn State will be played on Oct. 26 in Lorman.
