The Jackson State Sonic Boom of the South performed its first halftime show of the 2016 season Thursday (Sept. 1) at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.

The football game between Jackson State and UNLV, which resulted in a 63-13 win for the Rebels, was one of several Thursday night college games played to officially kickoff the season.
