Fred Brock (Texans) and Tyrone Reed (Titans) sign NFL Free Agent Deals...Brock played LB and Reed is a wide receiver....now your probably asking who in the hell are these guys?
They were Bill Thomas recruits who stuck around for several years and had talent.....but under the Steve Wilson regime they were virtually unheard of....
TSU under Thomas was one of the most talented teams but could never make a significant dent in the SWAC West for reasons unknown...Thomas made sure to beat Prairie View, win 2 or 3 more SWAC games but never could get Grambling or Southern..
and also...another one of his former recruits was a major impact at Idaho last season and signed a free agent deal with the Bengals..Dan Smith, who played at Madison and was known more for marrying Solange, was one of the top receivers in his conference...he went to TSU, played part of the season, got married, went to California (is he still married?) and ended up playing at a JC before going to Idaho.
