The Race for the cup

With the hornets winning the football title, the bulldogs winning the basketball crown, jsu taking the indoor track crown, this years race for the cup should be interesting......the jaguar nation isnt dominating this year like in the past but i think we'll take it again.....what do you think?

Too many sports left. I don't think there is a clear cut winner in the following sports, well maybe golf. After golf the picture will be clearer.

Softball
Baseball
Womens Golf
Mens Golf
Womens Tennis
Mens Tennis
Womens Track
Mens Track

We are working on the fact that if you don't win in the two major sports the CCup is tainted.

Be sure and add teams that backdoor into the championship.

Let me state this fact: When you win enough games and the other teams fail to win enough game to overcome the leader of the conference, there is no such thing as a backdoor. You must have more wins than the other competeing members to win a championship. An example of a fact is: In the recent SWAC Basketball Tournament if a team lost one game they could not win the tournament. The fact is that it took a perfect 3-0 or 4-0 to win the tournament. Now that AAMU is a full member of the SWAC there is a requirement for everyone to keep up with the count. You cannot expect the SWAC Office to keep up with your count by relying on tie breakers.

The race is REAL close.

Thus far it looks like:

Southern
AAMU
Bama State
JSU

Note that only about 1-2 points separate the top three. Look for JSU to make up ground with outdoor track and golf with bama state strongest chance of big points in outdoor track. I believe spring sports will take AAMU out of the race.

Prognosis: to close to call. .

This thing is always close to call because you can't go by who wins championships......a lot of 2nd and 3rd place finishes are just as good.

Unfortunately I agree.... our only hope is softball and tennis.....baseball and men and womens track are out of the question.

JROCK are you sure about those figures.

Relatively, but you are welcome to look at them yourself. Keep in mind that it is inclusive of men and women sports.
