They got this whole thing screwed up, they should have used the same format that they used in the Womens Softball Tournament with both #1 teams from the East and the West getting 1st round byes.

SWAC Baseball Tournament Pairing Set

The 2006 Southwestern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament pairings have been set with the resolution of the East Division #2 and #3 seedings.

Alcorn State claimed the #2 seed with an 8-5 victory over Jackson State (5/09). Alabama State moved into the #3 seed after Jackson State withdrew from the tournament after discovering the use of ineligible players The following are the pairings for the SWAC Baseball Tournament:

According to what they have put out, where does the winner of game #3 goes?
 
I believe the baseball coaches did not want any first round byes.

Seems someone was typing too fast. Looking at the bracket on the swac.org/championships baseball link the game 6 should hold the winner of game 3 against the winner of game 1.

Yeah that may be it, they need to have someone proof read this stuff before they send it out.

Also a losing team should never be allowed to get back in the winning bracket until they are the last team left to play the last winning team left.
