Can anyone explain why the NFL Network doesn't start showing games until November?

I think he's referring to the live games that the NFL Network is going to show on Thursday nights starting on Thanksgiving. I know the move to start showing live games was to increase demand for the network. But as for the reason not to start showing games until November, I have no idea why.

TV contract. It was part of the deal. NBC gets Sunday nite football, ESPN get Monday night football and they give concessions to NFL Network (owned by NFL I think) to get some viewers to watch the network and the NFL still makes money. I mean they couldn't give them a whole season. The way TNT and ESPN used to halve the Sun. nite broadcasts.
