Not so. Stillman's enrollment has grown over the years and it has some very good academic programs. This is one private institution that will not fold anytime soon.

There are problems. Enrollment has decreased over the last 4 years. Faculty and the president have been in a stalemate. Wishing only the best for this fine HBCU.

MAC? Do you think it? Naw??

The reason i know enrollment has dropped,my son WAS enrolled there...I wish Stillman the best..

I`ll say this,my son call his old classmates and they said its around 600...When he was there it was less than 1000...

If Stillman was having so many problems the Tuscaloosa News would be all over it. There have been vast improvements made at Stillman and the campus is nothing like it was 10 yrs. ago. I have some inside sources that I can check, but I'm sure that if it was folding there would be a lot of noise being made in West Alabama.

Coach Danzy is in his 70's with health problems.

The athletic programs at Stillman are solid. The head basketball coach is Leon Douglas, a University of Alabama All American and a former member of the Pistons. The basketball team is solid and has improve tremendously.

The next step is improve the football program by hiring an energetic coach who can take the program to the next level. Stillman has moved from a club team to the SIAC. The SIAC includes Tuskegee and Albany State; therefore, improvement is mandatory. Stillman will host Tuskegee to start the 2006 season.

Enrollment is down but it has nothing to do with the football program. Enrollment is down due to other problems that are not sports related.
