When it comes to looking for a cure for cancer, Alabama State University has become a major player in the last few years.
It all started seven years ago when they hired Dr. Manoj Mishra. His goal was to establish a cancer research program at Alabama State University.
By 2014 it was up and running. Dr. Mishra has been very aggressive in going after grants and it has paid off. For students at ASU, that means plenty of hands-on learning and opportunities that simply weren’t around a few years ago.
