Yeahhhh! Lake got the Compaq Center!!

All who can make it should come out tonight, Wed the 19th, to Lakewood Church's victory celebration for 'getting' the Compaq Center in Houston, Tx.
City council voted 10-4 in our favor today and we're excited to be able to use one our cities' Land marks for a place of worship & healing. God sure is good, the celebration I believe, starts @7:00p.m.

That's great news. I saw it on the news last night and look forwarding to the opening in such a central location.
 

Yep. The current lease on the Compaq ends in 2003, Nov.
That's when the Rockets & Comets move into their new place. We will then have our service there on Sundays along with other events through out the week. Some renovations have to be made to the Center(I think before we move in) The 'then' old church will be used for various ministry centered events. ;)
 
There's a Lakewood bible study tonight at 7p.m. and just a reminder to everyone that we have service on Saturday Nights now from 7p.m. to 9ish. Bored tonight, this weekend?, come on out and bring your friends!
