Wired/Wireless Network help

What up Peeps,

I installed a wired/wireless network in my home over the weekend and i need some help maintaining it.... I have an older ME machine using a wireless card and its always connected :retard:.... the main computer is a Win XP media ed PC and if you leave the machine alone for 1 hour, in order to get back on the net you have to restart the computer, that is quite a bit of wear and tear on the HD... can somebody advise me on how to avoid this from happening......

What kind of wireless router are you using?

What kind of internet service do you have?

Try going to the network card properties, click on configure, click on the Power management tab, and uncheck "allow computer to turn off device to save power" then click okay

I have a US Robotics router w/ print server and I use Cox cable as my ISP

I will try the Netcard thing when I get home
