The MEAC's website is more colorful and user friendly. The SWAC's
website is dull and updates are not processed in a timely manner.

I know it wasn't one of the options, but it appears that the SWACPage is updated more frequently than the official SWAC website.

THe MEAC Website is more informative. I noticed the MEAC has it's 2002 composite football schedule posted.
Informative ?? Several games listed on the MEAC 2002 composite football schedule are incorrect.

I would agree that the SWACPAGE website is updated more consistantly than the official SWAC website, but most of the information updated on the SWACPAGE website is information that is directly sent to news source publications from the SWAC Public Relations department, Mr. Wallace Dooley, Jr.

Although the SWACPAGE is consistantly reporting to its end users the cost of sufficienly updating and maintaining this news and user friendly website, for that reason I am sure that the IT Specialist of the SWACPAGE website would not take on the added responsiblity of updating and maintaining the official SWAC website without submitting a cost for man hours associated with such a work load.

So, the update of the SWAC website is probably a economic and job assignment priority issue that should be raised by SWAC supporters to their respective institution's president. They are responsible for the yearly budget that is allocated to the SWAC Office to run their quarterly (seasonal) job accountablities ie. website, NCAA regulations update, tournament location andd staffing, sponsorship request, & etc.

Correction - Most of the information comes from the SWAC SIDs.

It doesn't have to be.

Kenn Rashad,

I stand corrected on the SWAC SIDs. Thanks for the response!

What are your suggestions to alliviate the economic cost and job priority associated with updating and maintaining the official SWAC website?

Where the information comes from doesn't matter. It has to come from somewhere. I am just glad to know that there is a place that I can go on the web that will provide me with information on the SWAC that other sites like ESPN, CNNSI, and Sportsline.com wont carry.

Props to the webmaster.

TPF,

In order for me to make a suggestion, I would first need to know what the details are. I'm not trying to come accross as an expert, but based on my personal and professional experience I think that I could provide the SWAC and the SWAC schools with a proper solution....that would not cost them a lot of money.

BTW - I am also a consultant for hire! ;)

I totally agree and hope that you not only support the SWACPAGE website with your presence by posting and providng positive feed back, but additional support the page financially. I believe it is neccessary to enhance the hard work done by Kenn Rashad and his IT staff that is needed to help support, maintain and grow the SWACPAGE website.

Kenn Rashad,

Probably a D@mn good consultant. But a consultant charges a rate to provide solutions to business problems.

I am affraid that the SWAC president's are not willing to pay the cost that would be neccessary for you to evaluate the IT issues of the official SWAC website and make suggestions to provide solutions for those problems found.

But, that is all a humble opinion. I would suggest that you write and send a business portfolio brief and cost assessment that would provide the SWAC office with information on how you and your company would be beneficial in solving their IT issues on the official SWAC website. I am sure with your business experience and consultant background that this would not be too difficult.

Thanks Again for the response!

What *I* want to know is...

Where can I go to obtain information on SWAC and MEAC history (i.e. past championships, original members, the year current members entered the conference, etc...)

Can some of you KNOWLEDGEABLE individuals help a brotha out???? :D
