UPDATED: FAMU’s Delta Sigma Theta chapter placed on “Inactive Status†effective immediately
The Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been placed on “Inactive Status†pending an investigation into alleged hazing at an off campus location.
According to an allegation report from the sorority’s regional office, “a group of young ladies were meeting at an off campus apartment complex, and one of the young ladies fainted. It is assumed that because a young lady fainted there, paramedics were called.†The Leon County Sheriff’s office is now investigating.
Documentation from Delta Sigma Theta’s regional office states that “when a chapter or soror is issued a cease and desist order by the Regional Director, all Delta activities must stop until the C&D is lifted.
