what makes a swac band great?

what makes a swac band great? what , in your opinion, is needed for a band to better than other bands? is it music; instrumentation; numbers; pride; love? what do you think?

We need to get more time for bands because 11:00 to 12:00 minutes is not enough to judge. Before or after the game on the field.

I think that it has to do with the individual. When I was in the band, mostly everbody could do something else other than play their particular instrument i.e. sing, play other instrument and so on so I feel that it has to do with the individaul love for your particular band. Instrumentation is good as well because your band needs to sound good and have good arrangements. Just because someone can play one triad on the keyboard doesn't make them an arranger but that is another topic!!!!
