"Breaking boundaries" is an interesting euphemism for millions of dead people in the global south, but I won't hold you. What's happening in Portland is just the roosters coming home Malcolm was talking about.

Bush didn't have an American uprising to deploy the military into. Still, he created DHS and ICE, which have inflicted untold damage on US citizens. It seems like your only contention is the agency used to terrorize people.

Still waiting on those policy differences.

Aside from taxes and border control, Trump doesn't have any real policies to compare against other conservatives. He's left the country completely naked internationally, which caused a pandemic that has killed 150k people. Every administration before him knew the value in having a strong standing in other countries to prevent shit like global pandemics and terrorist attacks.

That's patently untrue. Trump's policies on the economy, education, foreign policy, healthcare, etc are perfectly in keeping with the GOP ethos of the last 40 years.

The pandemic is not about our "standing." It's an issue of our crumbling infrastructure, low manufacturing base, poor access to healthcare (including the types of preventative care that would've caught the pre-existing conditions that make people more susceptible to poor outcomes), and nonexistent social safety net. These issues are way beyond Trump's general ineptitude.

No administration has prevented "terrorism." If anything, our foreign policy creates it.

You sound oddly like the Trump supporters who claim this isn't his fault. LOL. Read these 2 articles IN FULL.

Get the f*** outta here.

At some point, Black folks are gonna have to realize that issues outside of the ones we demand attention to impact us indirectly.

Global standing & international affairs affect Black folks. But we ignore it because its not our direct agenda. Now look at us... struggling in a pandemic.

Pointing out systemic issues is sounding like Trump supporters? Try reading for comprehension not just to respond. Besides, you lot are all far closer to Trump politically than I'll ever be.

Global standing is not why the country has lost nearly 40 percent of its hospital beds in 50 years despite 33 percent population growth. Global standing didn't build a system in which tens of millions of people lost healthcare insurance because the economy turned. Global standing didn't create the medical racism that had scores of Black people being sent home despite obvious COVID symptoms. Global standing didn't make states open back up early without meeting the criteria. Global standing didn't make healthcare unaffordable. Global standing didn't give billions to corporations and crumbs to out of work people.

These issues are all baked into the system, and we spent decades building to this disaster (and please don't insult my intelligence by bringing up Obama's woefully inadequate pandemic plan). Having Trump in charge (great job again Hillary) naturally makes it much worse, but this was going to be bad regardless, as this warning from two decades ago clearly lays out.
