SWAC CONFERENCE GAMES SUCCESSFULLY RE-SCHEDULED
-Grambling Loses FAMU Match-up-

Birmingham, AL -Nine of the ten Southwestern Athletic Conference teams have reached agreement to re-schedule their games cancelled on Saturday, September 15, 2001 and all conference games will be made up. The Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship game, scheduled for December 1, 2001 at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama, will not be affected

Jackson State's non-conference game against Tennessee State, the Southern Heritage Classic, will be played on Thursday, November 22, 2001 (Thanksgiving Day) at 1:00 p.m. in Memphis, Tennessee. But Grambling State's contest against Florida A&M, the River Front Classic, in Cincinnati, Ohio, will not be re-scheduled.

The following is the September 15th slate of Southwestern Athletic Conference games, with their disposition.

Grambling State vs. Florida A&M (at Cincinnati, OH)
-Will NOT be rescheduled-

Alabama State vs. Texas Southern (at Houston, TX)
-Saturday - October 13, 2001 - 7:00p

Prairie View A&M vs. Southern (at Baton Rouge, LA)
-Saturday - November 17, 2001 - 7:00p-

Jackson State vs. Tennessee State (at Memphis, TN)
-Thursday - November 22, 2001 - 1:00 p.m.-

Alabama A&M vs. Miss. Valley State (at Itta Bena, MS)
-Friday - November 23, 2001 - 1:00p -

Alcorn State vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (at Pine Bluff, AR)
-Saturday - November 24, 2001 - 6:30p-

It really doesn't matter that we play on the 17th.

I've been to the mountain top and I've seen SU beating the boys from Louisiana Normal College for the Western Division Championship.

First MikeBigg hoping for the law of averages, now GSUperTiger hoping for PV to help them out.

These northern boys are sure are desperate for a BC win....

Law of averages won't help and neither will a game with PV the week before.

Doug will be 4-4 in Bayou Classics as a player and a coach.
