Starting a Business and getting contracts

For those of you that have businesses, what was your process of getting contracts and staying in business? I had a C2C business over ten years ago and secured one contract. Once the job ended, I didn't pursue anyother contracts. I just focused on a W2 job for more stability since I was married and had very young kids. There's plenty of money out there for us all to make, we just have to have the right mentors and information to start a business.

Buck, it also depends on the industry. I know right now a lot of companies are scared to make any moves because of the new regime and not knowing what weird stuff they are going to do next.

That is true! I'm in the DoD field but looking to branch out and do Non-profit.
