Staph Infection Pandemic?

Is anyone concerned about this rise in cases of staff infection beyond hospitals? I mean for crying out loud this was not even a concept when I was in elementary and high school, but now we got schools being basically quarantined and scrubbed down and students dieing from staff infections and being advised not to use other people's equipment? :confused:

Well what about using the bathrooms and sitting on the comode? :noidea: Could that be a source of infection? man, dem paper thingies that I've been ignoring all these years,:slap: PLEASE SEND HELP!! :scared:

Things to remember to prevent infections:

1. Wash your hands frequently.... After you wash your hands--especially in the bathroom....use the paper towel or tissue to turn off the water...and to open the door when leaving the bathroom..germs can still lie on places where people have touched who don't wash their hands.
2. If you have open sores, close them up with a bandaid.
3. Don't share towels or tissues...I know of some homes where families dry their hands on the same large towel hanging in the bathroom...try using paper towels...or the 2-ply to dry your hands.
4. Don't use/wear other folks toothbrushes, deordorant, underwear, jocks or any unwashed clothing.
5. You can't get an infection from sitting on the can...you can if the substance is still wet...but once it's dry...chances of infection go down...just to be on the safe side use those disinfectant wipes, sprays or just cover the seat with the 2-ply.

If staff infection is so contageous in an environment like a locker room and by simply coming into contact with equipment and clothing that an infected person has contaminated, I can't imagine the risk in oooooh, i dunno, Simi Valley/the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles (errrrr, the porn capitol of the world)? If you have an infection in a studio there, or somebody's abode, do they report it? What, do all the actors scrub themselves down all over like surgeons before surgery? if not, and a bug gets loose out there, things could really get out of hand not to mention how the strains of this bacteria could mutate,, :sick:

Those in the porn industry are tested for multiple things on a bi-monthly basis... Don't ask me how I know, I just do...:ebrow:

And in places like the south, where it is much warmer, staph, can live longer. Staph infections come in a WIDE variety of forms...

yes, it is a concern...but I practice good sanitary measures all the time. I preach to my son constantly about washing his hands. That's usually how infections, colds, germs are spreaded. We've had a few cases reported here in Dallas.
