I think Stanford will be OK. Sucks for the SAs in those sports but Stanford is still Stanford so they will bounce back

lol, that's a rich sport like Polo. Stanford has that money.

Stanford said that all affected sports will be able to transition into club status after the next academic year

This was a shot that they will never return those sports..
The school will not consider reinstating any of the sports to Division I status even if they receive philanthropic funding.

They probably wanted to cut them for years but probably got less opposition or complaints due to the pandemic.
