Back in the day nobody cared for a Jsette. They didn't become popular until the late 90s, early 2000s and mostly in large part from following the GG way.
In the 60s, 70, 80s and early 90s it was the GGs.
The GGs have always pushed the envelope and started the tastefully risque style of performance during halftime and stand routines.
In the mid 90s the Settes started using more sexual appeal like the GGs which pushed the GGs to become more edgier than the 80s GGs. "Squat/hump"
If you want to know what's what look at the details.
The march called "Salt and Pepper" GGs do that when called to attention and march time, Settes do not. It's innate with the GGs.
Stands and "bucking"... well see for yourself. Jsettes had no clue what they were doing. GGs had the present day stand setup with prepared counts etc.
This is why you see Jackson state fans run to anything pertaining to Alcorn GGs, subconsciously they feel threatened and must defend the honor of the Settes because deep down they know the GGs came 1st.
