Removing Programs

Hello

How can I remove some programs on my computer from automatically opening up when my desktop appears.

This is what happens? When my computer loads up three programs that I have installed (aol IM, print manager, icq) they always open up.

I don't want to uninstall them, just have them to not open up automatically.

I will assume that you are running Windows...

Start - Search

Specify STARTUP as the search string and click search.

It should find a folder (possibly more than one) by that name. Look in the folder(s) found for a shortcut to the programs that you do not want to run at at system start and delete those shortcuts.

Voila.
 

Thanks, I figured it out after I posted this. I remembered a while back doing this, just totally forgot how.
