The Marching Storm Selected to Perform at Bands of America Super Regional Championship
The Music for All organization annually hosts Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Championships around the country with support from National Presenting Sponsor, Yamaha Corporation of America. These events showcase performances from some of America’s most outstanding high school marching bands, as well as exhibition performances by some of the finest collegiate marching bands in the nation.
This year, in celebration of the 29 year partnership between Music for All and The Yamaha Corporation of America, Music for All is recognizing the Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm as a top tier college program that utilizes Yamaha’s products and services. Because of this partnership The Marching Storm has been invited to perform at one Regional or Super Regional Championship event in 2017 or beyond.
Bands of America supports exhibiting ensembles on a national stage in its advanced promotion of the chosen event, as well as providing a black and white print advertisement featuring the band and college/university in the event’s program book. The Marching Storm will be exposed to hundreds of high school musicians, as well as band directors, staff and clinicians. Prairie View will get the unique opportunity to recruit from these participating high schools.
This is an outstanding opportunity for Prairie View A&M University and the Marching Storm to showcase not only our music program but our entire university. We are honored to be selected by Music for All for this opportunity.
