Props to Comedy Central........

(T'06 for short)
Did anyone see their list of the Top 100 Stand-up Comics? Richard Pryor was picked #1 of all time, which should come as no surprise. However, they had Eddie Murphy at #10 and Chris Rock at #5, I believe..........WTH? Rock does have more material, but when it comes to presentation and just actin' a dayum fool, you gotta go with Eddie Murphy.

Where was Red Foxx?

Man Eddie Murphy's Raw is still my favorite Stand up show I've ever seen.

True, but Eddie's success has really taken away from his stand-up. He doesn't even do it anymore, does he? Don't get me wrong, he's still funny. But Chris Rock is the reigning King of Comedy

I was channel surfing, and just happened to tune in to that particular program when they were at #5, and I too, was shocked that Chris Rock was ranked there.

I like Chris Rock (not as much as I used to) but he should not have been ranked that high, and he certainly should not be ranked above Eddie Murphy.

Personally, I think that the old-timers like Rodney Dangerfield, and Don Rickles were pretty good too. I don't know where they were ranked.

Stop reading at Woody Allen.

I do not think C. Rock is funnier than Eddie Murphy. Martin Lawerence was top in his game until he went crazy.

Red Fox was #24. I thought he'd at least land in the Top 20.

And Eddie Murphy Raw: :lmao::lmao:

That's one thing they pointed out. When his acting career took off, he never got a chance to hone his craft. If he had kept at it, he may have been right behind "Mudbone" Pryor.:D

I don't see Paul Mooney on the list.

Paul Mooney never did stand-up to my knowledge. He was always a writer, just like Wanda Sykes. He just started doing it I guess. He wrote for Richard Pryor and wrote for In Living Color, too.

Chris Rock is not Top 5 funny. :shm: How did Woody Allen get so high up? If anything, Bill Cosby should be #4 and Woody should be down near the bottom with Gallahger.

I know most of yall are too young to remember her, but what about:

Jackie "Moms" Mabley????

She should have made the list.
