YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS! Looks like this time, "they got the right ones, baby! Congratulations to Mr. Eugene and Mr. Mathis. There is some reasoning left in the SWAC afterall.

Congrats to ALL of these outstanding athletes selected!!

EVERY school had at least one player selected. That speaks volumes for the quality of athletes in the SWAC. All 10 of us should give ourselves a round of applause!!

Looks like the SWAC got it right this year. Even with alot of the All-SWAC selections. I am sure there were some players who got left off that were deserving, but for the most part it looks like some good choices. Players of year are right on point. Bruce and Mathis are well deserving and should take home some National honors as well. Congrats to all.

JSU has the most all-conference players yet we still lost to inferior teams and have a moral loss to AAMU. This is why Hughes had to go.

Grambling State had eight players selected ? five 1st team, two 2nd team, Offensive Player of the Year.

Actually... Somebody can't count. Grambling had 9 players selected. Grambling had 7 on the first team and 2 on the second team.

I WOULD LIKE TO GRADULATE ALL THE PLAYERES IN THE SWAC THAT WAS SELETED TO BOTH 1ST AND 2ND ALL-SWAC TEAM. THIS PROVES THAT YOU HARD WORK DOSE PAYOFF:nod:

Denmark Reed

Apparently, Denmark Reed's dismissal cost him a spot on the All-SWAC team. He was clearly one of the top defenders in the conference and was POTW a couple of times.

Congrats to the guys that made the team...all were worthy!

How does someone with 10 interceptions make the second team. Hill was one of the top DB's in the nation.

Shocker to me also... I was just waiting on an ASU poster to see that.

All the swac games haven't been played yet. I guess what happenens Sat. don't count in all this.

Ten interceptions are a lot to overlook. I don't know if the voting is done by media, coaches, or SID's. However, he was getting beat regularly in the GSU game. Even at that, his ten interceptions are a lot to overlook but maybe the guys selected ahead of him successfully defended a higher percentage of passes.

Nope...wouldn't have mattered at all! :D

But just for argument's sake...

Who do you feel could've been bypassed on the list by additional Grambling/Southern players???
