Our kids have to be more careful with these cars

I tell my youngest son how careful he needs to be with his Prius, it doesn't take much to change your life forever or end it, this is so sad.

Nearly every year I've taught high school we've lost a kid to an auto accident.

Is this because of that street/drag racing that the kids like to do now days? Here in Houston, that is a huge problem. And they do it on residential streets, that is what so scary.

I don't think so. Primarily just young inexperienced drivers. Phones, following too closely, driving a little too fast in less than ideal circumstances. I teach in a rural area. People out here give their kids cars super early (guns too) ... maybe a bit before they are ready.

Tony Baker the comedian's son was killed a few days ago along with two of his friends when two cars street racing ran the light and basically tore their car to pieces. And of course, the kid driving the car lived.
