Please share this information!

People need to report any and all storm / act of nature damage to the National Weather Service. This information is used by contractors to support damage claims by homeowners. The insurance companies use this information or lack of, to justify repairing or not repairing or doing the minimal repair. Take pictures of any damage, trees falling, branches down, telephone poles down etc... and if hail falls, take pictures of the hail. Put a note in the form letting them know you have pictures and make sure you put down the city and street location in the form. They will reach out to you asking you to send the pictures. Send the pictures one or two at a time because their mailbox rejects e-mail if the attachments are too large.

In our communities we don't report this information and the local stations don't often cover damage in our areas.
