New SU Law School in Shreveport?

At the June 12, 2020 meeting of the SU Board of Supervisors, the Board passed a resolution by unamimous consent to accept the "Pathways to Legal Education" study for Shreveport and Northwest Louisiana. The resolution will now proceed to the Louisiana Board of Regents to be placed on its agenda for the week of June 15, 2020. The study was headed by Dr. Pierre of the SU Law School, who indicated in his presentation that he believes a building had been identified to house the law center. If the SU Law Center wasn't "kicking a _ _ and taking names," it would never have received consideration for another law center location. Geaux Jags!

Yes, SU Law has a vibrant and expanding Tribal Law Division. Native American tribes from all over the country are starting to discover SU Law and are taking advantage of it. Look for SU Law to soon start to turn some heads with this trival law element!
