I don't know if anyone will tell you which stores in a given area do, but you can bet they do. Think about how much money is lost with shop lifting. If I can see you making the switch, stuffing it in something, etc... I can stop you for suspicious reasons as you exist the door. They use to use the double mirrors, but people have figured out how to test those. Most are probably in the ceiling or something these days...

But, if you like to think someone is looking, maybe that helps...
