Love/Lord

On my way home from Baton Rouge I was just listening to Musiq's "Love", and it occurred to me that this song may have been altered.......what if it was supposed to go this way?:

Lord,
so many things I got to tell you
but I'm afraid I don't know how
cause there's a possibility that you'd look at me diferrently

Lord,
every since the first momment I spoke your name
from then on
I knew that by you being in my life
things were destined to change
.

Cause Lord,
So many peple use your name in vain
Lord, those who have faith in you sometimes go astray
Lord, Through all the ups and downs the joys and hurts
Lord, for better or worse I still will choose you first.

Many days I longed for you
wanting you
hoping for the chance to get to know you
longing for your kiss
for your touch
and your feel
your personal touch

Many nights I cried from the things you do
felt like I could die from the thought of losing you
I know that you're real
with no doubts
and no fears
and no questions

At first you didn't mean that much to me
but now I know you're all I need

the world looks so brand new
to me
now that I've found (the) Lord
every day I live for you
and everything that I do I do it for you

What I say is how I feel
so believe its true
you've got to know I'm true....

This song sounds like the the way most christians, that have had struggles, came to the Lord. Funny thing is I've been meaning to post this since Monday Morning...and something always got in the way.

What do you think?

(I don't read this board a lot, so if anyone has done this....I apologize for the repitition.)

Storm, me and you are here. When I turn to the secular stations and I hear a song like Love, I am often changing the words myself or thinking about the Lord too. And I have done that with Love and it gives it a whole new meaning. BTW you remember Badu's song about Tyrone? I heard someone change the words to something like "You Better Call on the Lord." It was nice.........,

Storm and BullDog: All of us are here : : ... :D

I thought of it too one day. I really, really like this song a lot....

Stormy, (if I may call you that)

You're on point. wouldn't be suprised to hear some choir change t he words and record it.

Its interesting that as we talk about this song, it has been added to the playlist of one of Memphis popular Gospel Stations KWAM 990 AM "The Light".........................,

When the Holy Spirit moves...He moves on one accord. I'm always changing a secular song to a gospel. If it's not positive, why not make it positive?
