7 arrested in vandalism of 'The Bean,' popular Chicago sculpture in Millennium Park

CHICAGO – Police in Chicago have arrested seven people suspected of spray-painting graffiti on two downtown landmarks, including the popular giant metallic sculpture known as “The Bean.”
Authorities say the Millennium Park sculpture was vandalized late Monday and that the suspects were detained a short time later. Charges were pending Tuesday morning.
The sculpture’s stainless-steel reflective surface was marked with “35th Crew” in silver lettering near the bottom. The Cancer Survivor Wall in nearby Maggie Daley Park also was vandalized.
The sculpture by artist Anish Kapoor is formally known as “Cloud Gate” and weighs 110 tons (99.8 metric tons). It is 66-feet (20.1-meters) long and sits in a plaza just off of Michigan Avenue.

A video of a woman appearing to lick a tub of Blue Bell ice cream before putting it back in a grocery store freezer has attracted the attention of millions, including Blue Bell Creameries.

The video was posted Saturday by user "Optimus Primal," with the caption, "What kinda psychopathic behavior is this?!" has been viewed more than 10 million times as of Monday evening. It's been retweeted more than 25,000 times and liked more than 61,000 times.
Blue Bell Creameries said it is "monitoring the situation" and cooperating with law enforcement.
"This type of incident will not be tolerated," the Texas company said in a statement.

A woman in Texas has been banned from her local Walmart after she ate part of a cake inside the chain store and then refused to pay full price for the half-eaten cake at the register.

Wichita Falls Police Department spokesman Officer Jeff Hughes confirmed to Wichita Falls Times Record News that officers responded to a call from the Walmart on Greenbriar Road on June 25, just after 8 p.m. local time.

The unnamed woman allegedly entered the store, ate half a cake, and only wanted to pay for the remaining half, despite employees witnessing her eating the cake as she walked toward the register. Hughes told the outlet that the woman ultimately was banned from the store by police for theft.
"I don't know if she got the whole cake. I don't know if she left with the other half of it," Hughs told NBC News.

In a Wednesday video, Twitter user “Bameron Nicole Smith” of San Jose, Calif., walks through the oral care aisle of Walmart saying, “Girl, it has been one musty f***ing morning.” Smith takes a Listerine bottle from the shelf, opens it, takes a swig and gargles, spitting the contents back inside.
“Mmm, nice and minty and fresh. Thank you guys,” Smith says, and saunters off.
But many viewers said the ease at which Smith opened the container — seemingly without breaking the safety seal — suggested the footage was a spoof. Last week, ateen in Lufkin, Texas opened a tube of “Tin Roof” Blue Bell ice cream at Walmart and licked the top before placing it back inside the freezer. On Friday, Lufkin police identified the woman as a teen from San Antonio and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department is handling the case.

Ok, first off, I didn't know what to think of the "person" who gargled the mouthwash, and secondly where is all the outrage? I haven't seen anything on Twitter or Facebook, asking for help to find this "person". There is also a video of a guy who opened an ice cream tub, reached in, grabbed a handful of ice cream, and placed in back in the cooler without covering it. Even if this was a joke or prank, it's still wrong and he and this woman should face the same consequences.
 
Im so sick of social media culture. 36 years old and still doing dumb shit like this. I hope they throw the book at him just for being dumb.

An Oregon sheriff’s office took to Facebook to share its “weirdest DUI arrest of the weekend,” in which law enforcement officials arrested a woman after she poured alcohol into a Taco Bell drive-thru employees mouth.
According to Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place around 1 a.m. on Saturday at a Taco Bell branch in Beaverton, Ore. The suspect, 23-year-old Elianna Aguilar-Aguilar from Cornelius, Ore. had a blood alcohol level of 0.12 percent. The Oregon state limit is 0.08.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment, but wrote in its Facebook post that she poured the alcohol into the employee’s mouth “right in front of a sheriff’s office sergeant,” while she was “still in her car.”

Did she squirt the alcohol? How did she pour alcohol in the person mouth? The article said the Cognac got on the person's clothes mostly and the employee did not swallow any. Was the employee hanging out of the window or what?
