They basically beat Charleston Southern into submission on last night. Now, that same CSU team destroyed Hampton on the previous week.
Kudos to Savannah State.

I was shocked by the Savannah State score. But, they came to play.
I told you guys in another thread, SSU made a very solid hire. They actually have been very competitive...the wins aren’t coming in bunches, but they are definitely playing better football.
If they weren’t dropping to D2, I think they would’ve been ready to really compete in a season or two.

Honestly, I think, the D2 move was smart. What is this point of staying, if your teams are getting demolished.

Yes. Savannah State is making the right decision. Honestly, some of our schools need to do a hard evaluation about continuing in FCS.
