Jenkins -vs- Roddick US OPEN 1st Round


I watched. He seemed a bit nervous at first but held as much of his own as he could. There is nothing you can do with a 151 mph serve.

Roddick was toying with him the first set.

That 148mph ace he served up to win the game looked second nature to Andy, but Scoville will get better with time and experience. He did pretty well (winning 4 games) against the No.2 player in the world.

He will be a star in the future. Trust.
 
I think so too. You can't adjust to serves of that speed unless you see them on a regular basis. As the match went on, he did much better. To get 4 games says a lot in itself.
 
He is young and the situation was lot for him to deal with, Center Court and the Number 2 player in the world. What a coming out party. I think he will get better. I had hoped that he would have gotten a match on one of the smaller courts against an opponent of lesser stature.

I will keep watch on his career and hope to see in much further in the tourney next year.
