I used to go there as part of my job years ago. I would fly from DC to Albuquerque. It reminded me of Tucson, AZ. Not many black people there, but good Mexican food. The people are friendly, but it's not a place I would want to live. It's surrounded by mountains and desert. You get lost out there, you will not be found.
 
I've been to NM for work several times. ABQ, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Roswell, and Las Cruces. Out of the cities, ABQ is easily the best. Most folks love santa fe but it does nothing for me. ABQ has more "nightlife" with Central Ave. Plus that Sandia Casino nice.

What's ironic, I had a offer to come and work for New Mexico government. Man, I was kicking myself on last Saturday.
