That's a lot of history. If those grounds could talk.... Man.... Isn't Alcorn the eldest HBCU in the 'Sip? Or, the eldest land grant (HBCU or PWC)???

Congrats!!!!!
 
It is the oldest land-grant HBCU, and the second eldest university in the State of Mississippi.

Yes, it's possible to go to school without a car. I came to Alcorn without a car. I went my entire freshman year and the first semester of my sophmore year without a car. It can be done.

I don't recommend it, but it can be done!!
 
Damn yall are spoiled; I went three years without a car. Got one the summer prior to my Senior Year.


But that was before, Laptops, PDAs, Cell Phones, Playstation, George Foreman Grills, etccccc......


Dr. Strange had the best sammichs after 10 PM when I came in with the munches....

Well, I was in school there in the mid 90's, and I still didn't have a car. I just came from a family where my dad still thinks we're living in the 70's. It was a pain having to catch rides all the time, but I got through it. I went the entire time without a car.
