GSU v. JSU is Not a Rival Because.....



How can the Bills of Jackson be a rival when Icon Gram can forfeit the next 20 years and the all-time series record would just be even. Gram losing to J-State aberration more than the norm.

Even with some of the best of all-time like Slater (btw, he was great as a tv commentator) blocking for Sweetness, Icon Gram kicked J-State’s @$$. Even during the glory days of Gorden in the 80s, J-State could only break even against Icon Gram.

As long as Primetime is on the sideline coaching - the head-to-head series will continue to increase.

Grambling went from winning celebration bowls and championships … to boasting about their history and irreverent outdated series wins….. DURING LOSING SEASONS. How the old man has fallen and needs life alert to get up… it’s champs when you address us peasant!

Don't know who y'all's rivals are...but we draw the largest crowd in the hole outside of HC for some reason.

Why y'all firing coaches if y'all a modern day icon? Y'all just like the other SWAC schools. Icon... :rolleyes:

You don't see Yale running around calling themselves an icon even though they have the most national championships. They know the deal. That era is over.

80s , Gordon era ? 4 HOF ? 100 Drafted Players since JSUs inception, 17 SWAC Titles, FCS leading attendance even before Coach Prime ? Look, I understand you’re prideful for Grambling and rightfully so, no jsu fan will argue the OG status of accolades but let’s not act like JSU is all the sudden getting recognition under Coach Prime. Our resume is just as rich as the blue bloods of our conference.

The only people who know W.C. Gordon are the people in the SWAC. Eddie Robinson and Doug Williams are global. Not to mention Broadway and Fobbs. Just stating facts. Jackson State has its place and no one is denying that. But don't act like you have been running anything long-term and you have changed coaches like you change your draws. Keep it Real Dude. That fluff doesn't work here.

That’s false, jsu brand is well documented because of the mentioned 4 HOF we had … name recognition Walter Payton which is on par with Eddie’s contribution to BCF… if you’re saying he’s not you’re smoking ass… let’s tell the truth, y’all got a tired coach out to follow JSUs trend in hiring a NFL splash hire in what was first Ed Reed , when he said no y’all went Hue after Coach prime ran through the SWAC …. Stop it lol we made Gram get into an arms race because deep down you know this is thee JSU era… todays kids see our brand , see coach prime, see high profile athletes returning to HBCUs to either join JSU or line up against JSU…. Grambling has 4 Hall of Famers. Find out who they are and no Doug Williams is not, but eventually he will be. For the record, Ed Reed called and inquired about the job. Nothing else.
