Democrats aren't investing in black women candidates

So is the only way to win a democratic nominee now to be a black female, a gay white male or female?

Interesting take here from a black woman.

The problem with the #DemocraticParty as far as 2020 goes, is their lack of vision & clarity on how to improve the lives of Americans. They have to run FOR something, and not “against Trump” as they did before. It’s a big part of why Clinton lost & is a losing strategy in general. Trump utilized populism exceedingly better than their campaign (“He’s racist!”...etc). That won’t work, and I do believe they will use the separation of families at the border, for all they can in that regard.

If the DP can’t articulate clearly how their policies will be a vast improvement over Trumps’ they may as well concede early on. Trump won, because Americans were sick & tired of being sick & tired. Under Trump the economy has improved, unemployment has continued to drop (that started in Obama’s second term), and the number of disability applications has dropped. Trump has some obstacles to face too, but his aren’t the topic here. Democrats don’t have the luxury of being lazy w/ideas this time around, being the minority in Congress & no seat in the WH. If Democrats merely hurl insults & accusations at Trump, well deserved or not, the WH is a wrap.
