These retired orange kool-aid drinkers and their families will now be impacted by their hatred.

They told them who they are, now they will have to look in the mirror to ask, why didn't I believe them.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy won his election as House speaker after conceding to conservative holdouts.

Those concessions likely include budget cuts that will threaten Medicare and Social Security.

Even if that agenda doesn't pass, negotiations could threaten Social Security payments, advocates say.

House Republicans elected Rep. Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the House after a historically lengthy election process. That could be bad news for some retirees.

That's because of the types of concessions McCarthy had to make to secure his seat. Reporting over the past few days strongly suggests that those concessions are related to entitlement programs like Medicare and Social Security, which Republicans have waged war against for decades.

"To win over holdouts in the House Freedom Caucus, McCarthy struck a series of concessions that include opening debate on spending bills and vows not to raise the debt limit without major cuts to the likes of Social Security and Medicare," The New York Times reported.

That's become clearer as the week has advanced: GOP leaders gave a slide presentation to Republican House members on Tuesday outlining their budget and spending priorities, CNN reported. According to a screenshot of the presentation viewed by CNN, the spending priorities were vague but mentioned reforms to "mandatory spending programs" that could include Social Security and Medicare.

Nope, they'll just blame Biden and the Dem's for not working with the Republicans.

How can it hurt when YOU are among that group of other people?

What retirement plan do Republicans have???
During one of the previous elections (I believe it was agent orange), they interviewed a guy in Mississippi who was railing against government pay outs to people. How horrible it is, turns out his income and health benefits were all from the same government that he thinks should stop paying benefits to those people. They don't want to see reality.

Hate is a mofo

Their hate will destroy them and love will destroy them (America's getting darker). Their only goal now is to raise as much hell as they can before their end. They laughed at Dr. France Cress Welshing, but who will have the last laugh?

Yes, its highly coveted, its why many Latinos in Texas are republicans.

It worked to the the Italians, now they are hoping being white works for them. That fear drives them to demand that other Latinos from central and south ameircans countries be kept out.

Don't forget about the Irish. When they started coming to the states, the "white Americans" couldn't stand them either, but look at them now, full fledged white Americans.

The movement to retain "white" america is to grant "white" to the Latino community.
If you go back far enough, that has been tried before here in Texas and only works to the extent that the Latin community is willing to fool itself. At the end of the day racism is a white folks disease, and as result they will instinctively discriminate over the smallest difference. During segregation, here in Texas, latinos were allowed to attend white schools, but there is little to no evidence it benefited them in any tangible way.

What it certainly has created is just as much division and disunity within their community as ours has.

Succinctly, racists white folks will use, abuse and exploit others to no end. The only time they share or concede power is when they see not doing so is certain to cost them dearly.

Some believe our advancement in this society came about as a result of singing, marching and boycotting, but without some American city blocks burning down to the ground we would not have advanced as much.

PREACH MAN!

There were writeups about the Southern Strategy being dead after President Obama was re-elected. Well, it did not age well.

Listen to what Trump said about the Mexicans during the 2016 campaign.

Republicans' plans to slash Social Security and Medicare are becoming clearer: 'We have no choice but to make hard decisions'

House Republicans have alluded to cuts they want to make to the federal budget for months.

They're becoming more explicit about those cuts involving Medicare and Social Security funds.
They've indicated that they're willing to leverage raising the debt ceiling to secure cuts. Not raising the ceiling could spell financial disaster.
After being evasive about their plans for entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare in the months leading up to midterms, the House GOP has begun to confirm its intention to cut spending on both.

That's according to The Washington Post's Tony Romm, who reported that Republican lawmakers are willing to use the debt ceiling as a bargaining chip in order to get the Biden administration to cave on spending cuts to Medicare and Social Security. Failing to raise the debt ceiling by the summer could cause the US to default on its debt for the first time in history, the consequences of which would be dire.
