Seahawks reportedly waive Chad Wheeler and issue statement encouraging him to get help after domestic violence arrest

.............
Wheeler reportedly threw his girlfriend on a bed and choked her until she was unconscious. When the woman woke up, Wheeler allegedly said, “Wow, you’re alive?” The woman locked herself in the bathroom and called 911. Officers found Wheeler standing next to the woman. He was reportedly uncooperative when officers tried to arrest him at first.

The woman told officers the assault began after Wheeler told the woman to bow to him. He reportedly attacked the woman after she refused. The woman also told police Wheeler is bipolar and has not been taking his medication.

She gave him an out?

Deciphered it means, 'He is sick so don't be too hard on him'. That, sir, is an out.
That's what you think it means when her response was likely due to questioning about whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the incident.
