The calendar has flipped to July, officially putting us less than two months away from kickoff of the 2019 college football season and right smack in the middle of talking season.
Grambling State is chomping at the bit to get back on the field, looking to erase the bad taste out of its mouth after coming up 10 points shy of a fourth straight berth in the SWAC Championship Game, dropping the season finale to rival Southern, 38-28, in the Bayou Classic last November.
Earlier this week, The News-Star kicked off its “Countdown to 2019” series with looking at the five most important games for Grambling this upcoming season.
