This movie is much much much better then the trailer... I saw the screening here in Atlanta and the movie is really good...

I was thinking it would be Lean on Me and Remember the Titans... but it is a good movie in its own right...

Everyone should check it out if you get a chance...

took my oldest son yesterday and we both enjoyed it.

I give it 10 thumbs up. My daughter and I did the "Girls Night Out" and we really enjoyed it. It was over two hours and I did't even notice it. I saw more European Americans than African Americans.

Plus, Samuel Jackson is a very good actor!!!

I plan to check it out, too--- maybe in a couple of weeks when the hype dies down some (I don't like crowded threaters).
 
I checked the movie out last night because of the good reviews on this thread. I too was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The game and practice scenes were convincing, which is always a plus for a sports movie. The movie's script was 'hollywood' in some ways, but overall 'Coach Carter' was a good watch.
 
I took my daughter and another girl on her BBall team. It was a very good movie. Kinda felt uncomfortable during a couple scenes in the movie, but this was a great movie.
