If the U.S. would get off its butt and start to build these trains here. Just imagine how it would be to take a bullet train like this in California, Florida, Texas the Mid-West and other areas around the country.

Man I rode the bullet train in Japan and I agree we need this in the U.S. desperately. Way better than flying IMO.

Maybe. But look at the difficulties that Metro had trying to get the trains up and running here in Houston.

I agree, people in the Northeast are more open to traveling on a train than people in the rest of the country.

That is true. But I still think that trying to build a high speed bullet train system here in Texas would face the same obstacles. I remember years ago, the idea was floated to build a rail system from the sea wall in Galveston into downtown Houston. Well, we see how far that went.
