Bayou Classic?

Gram folks are always chill....man I was getting some gas in Baton Rouge on my way to NOLA one Bayou Classic. Man it was 7:45 am on Thanksgiving morning...this SU dude scream out the window..."we kicking dat ass tomorrow." Then when he realized he said the wrong day the man came back "my bad we kicking that ass tomorrow." He came back again and screamed out, "n-word you know what I meant."

Dude was partially right. The Battle of the Bands was Friday.
 

Pre-Katrina Bayou Classic, especially in the 90's and in 2003 were what you would call "GLORY YEARS." I played in the Classic in 2006, 2007 & 2008 (the first three years after Katrina) and it was a shell of its former self.

But In recent years, the Classic is GETTING EXTREMELY CLOSE to what it once was. The 4 PM kickoff along, additional activities in Champions Square and Great teams on the field have added EXTRA FLAVOR to the present day Bayou Classic. Would not be surprised if the 2019 Bayou Classic exceeds the 70,000 fan mark.
