PV scored 55 runs in two days against Jarvis Christian. Granted their low NAIA but we lost to them once last season somehow.

Fri - 11-3, 31-3 and 13-0 on saturday.

we are the most improved team in the SWAC this season by far. We have bats from 1 to 9. Legitimate hitters.

PANTHERS SWEEP JARVIS CHRISTIAN
Team off to best start since 2000

PRAIRIE VIEW, TEX ? Five Prairie View A&M pitchers combined for a two-hit shutout over the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs in a 13-0 victory during the finale of a three-game series on Saturday, January 31 at the William J. Nicks Baseball Complex.
Prairie View A&M starter Terrance Sparks set the tone for the team with six strikeouts in three scoreless innings of work. The Panther offense rewarded Sparks for his effort with 10 runs in the first two innings and cruised the rest of the way. PV went scoreless for four innings after their 10-run outburst but got back on the board with three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Panther pitchers Terrance Sparks (Huntington, TX/ Angelina JC), Jacob Gibson (Houston, TX/ Cy-Springs), Joshua Herrmann (D?Hanis, TX/ D?Hanis), Joshua Terrell (Houston, TX/ Spring Woods) and Phil Gooserand (New Roads, LA/ Catholic) held the Bulldogs to two hits in nine innings of work. On the offensive side, junior catcher Ralph Ramon (Snyder, TX/ Phillips JC) led the Panthers with four RBIs and one home run. Senior first baseman Byron Carter (Amarillo, TX/ Phillips JC) and freshman designated hitter Ricky Thomas (Spring, TX/ Conroe Oak Ridge) added three and two hits respectively.
For the series, the Panthers outscored Jarvis Christian 55-6. It took the Panthers 15 games last season to score 55 runs.
Prairie View moves to 3-0 for the season and will return to action next weekend with a three-game series against the Jackson State Tigers in Jackson, MS. The Panthers will play a seven-inning doubleheader on Friday, February 6 and a single nine-inning game on Saturday, February 7.

We played the University of Kansas Jayhawks today and when I left in the seventh inning it was 7-1.
