Ah because those that reported the game didn't say that either happen. What they said was punk @ss robinson wouldn't come out after it all was cleared by the police and that SU team was on the field ready to play.

Man Im in shock. Can't believe it. After the way the game was being played it shouldn't have come to something like this.

You Southern people mean to tell me that you would rather finish this game when there was gunfire near the stadium?!?! I guess you don't care about the safety of your players, as long as you win a title! Even after the police gave the all clear, you don't know what could have happened if they came back out.
Let's say that those gunshots were just shots in the air. The police gives the teams the ok to resume playing. They're out there on the field when all of a sudden one of the players just crumples to the ground. He dies there on the field due to being hit in the head from one of the bullets that was fired in the air. Bullets fall back to the earth with the same velocity that they were fired into the air. A falling bullet from the sky can kill a person (thanks for that info, CBS and the original CSI).
How would you all feel then? I guess you wouldn't care as long as you were holding up that championship trophy when it was all said and done.
Knowing some of you SU folks, yall would have left the kid out there on the field and continued to play. I could hear yall now: "Heyell he dead!!! Leave his arse on the field and let's win this title!! De-Fense JAGS!! DE-FENSE!!!"
Sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry. You never know, the SWAC was probably going to postpone until the morning if nobody scored in the 15th inning anyway. Nobody was probably in their right mind to be playing a baseball game after some stuff like that went on. People would be looking over their shoulders for the rest of the game.
I honestly think that some of you SU people would sell you own children into prostitution if you thought it would bring another title to the "Jaguar Nation."
