Alabama State University's Col*lege of Business Administration Small Business Development Cen*ter will have a Tuesday luncheon to recognize J&P Khamken Industries Inc., a local machine shop company that has been selected the 2011 Small Business Administration's (SBA) National Subcontractor of the Year and the 2011 SBA's Re*gion IV Subcontractor of the Year.
J&P Khamken Industries has been a client of the ASU SBDC since 1999. The SBDC has assisted J&P with services such as business plan preparation and development; Disadvantaged Business 8(a) Busi*ness Development Program appli*cation submission; electronic bid matches; marketing and research; and applying for and obtaining a SBA small business loan.
