article: should we attack france next?

Senate Candidate #7
As pundits mull whether America's next target in the war on terrorism should be Iraq or a smaller quarry first, such as the Sudan or Somalia, it's time to consider another petri dish of ferocious anti-American hatred and terrorist activity. The Bush doctrine is: We are at war not only with the terrorists, but also with those who harbor them.
We've got to attack France.

Having exhausted itself in a spirited fight with the Nazis in the last war, France cannot work up the energy to oppose terrorism. For decades now, France has nurtured, coddled and funded Islamic terrorists. (Moreover, the Great Satan is getting a little sick of our McDonald's franchises being attacked on behalf of notoriously inefficient French dairy farmers.)

At the 1972 Olympics, Muslim terrorists assassinated 11 Israeli athletes and one German policeman. Five years later, acting on intelligence from Israeli secret police, French counterespionage agents arrested the reputed mastermind of the massacre, Abu Daoud. Both Israel and West Germany sought the extradition of Daoud. Afraid of upsetting Muslim terrorists, France refused on technical grounds and set him free.

In 1986, Libyan agents of Moammar Gadhafi planted a bomb in a West Berlin discotheque, killing an American serviceman and a Turkish woman. Hundreds more were injured. President Reagan retaliated with air strikes against Libyan military targets -- including Gadhafi's living quarters.

Quaking in the face of this show of manly force, France denied America the use of its airspace. As a consequence, American pilots were required to begin their missions from airbases in Britain. When the pilots finally made it to Tripoli, tired from the long flights and showing a puckish sense of humor, they bombed the French embassy by mistake. POW! So sorry, our mistake.

France has repeatedly decried economic sanctions against Iraq and has accused the United Nations of manufacturing evidence against Saddam Hussein. The U.N., not even the Great Satan. The French U.N. ambassador dismissed aerial photographs of Iraqi military trucks fleeing inspections sites just before U.N. weapons inspectors arrived as -- quote -- "perhaps a truckers' picnic."

Along with the rest of the European Union, France sends millions of dollars to the Palestinian Authority every year. Sucking up to the P.A. has really paid dividends to the craven butterbellies. While visiting Arafat in Gaza last year to announce several million more dollars in aid, Prime Minister Lionel Jospin was attacked by angry, stone-throwing Palestinian students.

Earlier this year France connived with human rights champions China and Cuba to toss the United States off the U.N. Human Rights Commission. Sudan took America's place, and if its diplomats are not too bogged down with human torture and slave trading, they are very much looking forward to attending the meetings.

This summer, Paris made Mumia Abu-Jamal an honorary citizen of Paris. In America's cowboy, bloodlust, rush-to-judgment approach to the death penalty, this convicted Philadelphia cop-killer has been sitting on death row -- and giving radio interviews and college commencement addresses -- for 20 years. Since "Mumia" sounds like a Muslim terrorist, Parisians can use the same bumper stickers for the war.

Two weeks into America's war on terrorism, Le Figaro began calling for "American restraint." In polls, 47 percent of the French said they believed the U.S. military action was failing. Seventeen percent thought it was working (which was -- admittedly -- 17 percent more than on the New York Times editorial page). Flaunting France's well-established reputation as a fearsome fighting machine, the French foreign minister, Hubert Vedrine, immediately advised the United States to stop bombing Afghanistan.

The first indictment to come out of the Sept. 11 attacks was of a French national, Zacarias Moussaoui. He is believed to be the intended 20th hijacker on Bloody Tuesday. France quickly moved to extend consular protection for Moussaoui. Intriguingly, French Justice Minister Marylise Lebranchu has demanded that Moussaoui not be executed.

Mlle. Lebranchu seems to have forgotten, but WE ARE THE GREAT SATAN! We also have Moussaoui. It's annoying enough when these celebrated Nazi slayers refuse to extradite terrorists on the grounds that America does not observe the pristine judicial formalities of their pals, China, Cuba and the Sudan. But under what zany theory of international law does France think it can tell us what to do with a terrorist we caught right here on U.S. soil?

The Great Satan is wearying of this reverse hegemony, in which little pip-squeak nations try to impose their pip-squeak values on us. Aren't we the ones who should be arrogantly oppressing countries that unaccountably do not have the death penalty?

And now, as America goes about building support for an attack on Iraq -- guess who's complaining? The turtlenecked chickens are terrified of offending fanatical Muslims and inviting a terrorist attack, but Arab leaders are supposed to face down the vastly larger populations of crazies living in their own countries. While France whines, Turkey -- a predominantly Muslim country, I note -- is preparing its airstrips for a possible U.S. attack on Iraq.

If this is a war against terrorism and not a Eurocentric war against Islam, the conclusion is ineluctable: We must attack France. What are they going to do? Fight us?

Here's what I say.....

I think we should dress up like Germans and go over there and they will surrender....There is a reason why all the streets in Paris have Trees in the Median.....It's so the Germans could Goosestep in the shade.

I had the displeasure to meet some French Soldiers when I was in Saudi...Bunch of arrogant beeotches who had'nt won a battle since Napoleon was in charge of their Military.

Another thing that aggravated me about the French....while I was in the Gulf War there were several times my soldiers were about to open fire on Iraqi armor and aircraft.....but, since the French were fighting there as well they complicated things more because a good amount of the enemy vehicles and aircraft had been sold to the Iraqis by the French....So we had to paint upside down V's on all of our forces equipment to differintiate them, I don't know about you guys...but I aint gonna wait till something gets close enough to me to see a paint before I let loose.....

I know we deal a lot of arms, but the French would sell their mother twice if they could.....

Don't even get me started on their Hygiene.

Dayummm the French, they have turned their backs on us to many times...no matter what the British always have our back....
Now I'd fight alongside them boys and the Israelis any day.

I think we should bomb France and make it a Parish of Lousiana.

Leize Le Bonton Drop Bombs on dey arse !!!!

First no country has as many nukes as we do. Second, France has no means to deliver them to the US. third, they would be too sced to use them.

I just can not see America attacking any European country. We have been in bed with France since before we became the United States, so don't wait for a break in relations.

BTW,

I bet we will not go after Isreal either.

Great Question Posed JSU Tiger.

And one I asked in general also. These mugz kill me running, "we gone bomb de terrorists and any country harboring them" nonsense.

Why not bomb Northern Ireland then? Clearly you must read between the lines. What they meant to say was they are going to bomb any non-european countries that harbor terrorists. Just call a spade a spade for crying out loud.

They have no means to deliver them here? This sounds familiar......oh yea........I remember in December 1941 when the US underestimated Japan......look what happened?

France currently has no long range delivery system..(i.e. intercontenential ballistic missles). Governments base funding for their military on threat and the country it origionates. For instance since France was a member of N.A.T.O. their enemies were Warsaw Pact nations such as the former Soviet Union...being a european country it is not cost effective for France to have them when "we" being their ally have enough nukes to currently destroy the world 25 times over. Why do we have so many....cuz the Soviet Unioin had twice if not three times as many as we do....but based on their being a communist socitey they got bankrupt trying to out spend us and as a result we won the Cold War.

And you have to look at what happend in 1941 and where Pearl Harbor is Located they are smack dab in the Middle of the Pacific, the same distance between Japan and the U.S., the Japanese fleet was already poised in international waters...and we never underestimated Japan..as a matter of fact the politics of the time forced them into war with us...it was either that or their economy was gonna be collapsed.

But I think the main reason they attacked us was because to a certain degree they underestimated our fighting spirit....they sent a large number of their kids to U.C.L.A and U.S.C so all those Japanese saw Americans as being laid back surfer types...

Naw had they tried to send their kids to Ole Miss or Alabama they would have seen the dark side of America the evil we are capable of and would not have jumped bad with us...

And the French have seen us to many times in battle to know what we are capable of, we have bailed them out too many times to count so I know for a fact that they don't want none.

France and the U.S.

Can't say I would take issue with Makaho Bedrock's last take.

as for:

US underestimated Japan......look what happened?

,,,,,,,,,look what happened? Where? At Tarawa, the Philippine Sea, the Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Hiroshima, Nagasaki or on the U.S. battle ship Missouri?

Batram, I have fought along side the French during D-Storm...I know they don't want none.....All you have to do is start speaking German and they will surrender.

And yeah, the Japanese took it to us during some battles not because we took them lightly, it was because those Fuka Muthas could fight and their whole culture at one time was based on honor, code and Feudalism. And we ultimately chose to Nuke them instead of other enemies during WW2 because they had the audacity to attack US and put a lot of soldiers on the Battan Death March. I personally think we should have dropped a couple nukes on Berlin as well. But when they employed Ophenheimer's Deadly Toy it was a lot easier for them to drop it on an enemy that did'nt look like them.

All of ya'll are being naive. Who in the sam hell would've thought a small terrorist group from Afghanistan would've destroyed the WTC & a major portion of the Pentagon? That attitude of invincibility is the main reason we've been attacked the times we have been attacked today. During the Cuban missile crisis, the bombs wouldn't have had to been launched from overseas.....they could've been sent from Cuba.....which is NOWHERE from Florida. I don't put anything past any country in being able to get a nuke over here. Going off of what the US tells us is obviously not good reasoning to think that we can be attacked.......again. After all....didn't the US train the Al Qaeda members who flew the planes into the buildings? Nowadays I don't put anything past anyone.....including our crooked ass president.

Naive? I think not...as I have always said before our greatest strength as a country is ultimately our enemies' greatest weapon against us. For example, some of the same procedures we are taking now in our airports are the same that Israel utilizes in its because it is always subject to such attacks. But say the events of Sept. 11 did'nt happen and we implemented what we are doing now....the public would be in an uproar complaining and ISHT !!

And as far as the Cuban missle crisis is concerned...those were portable "Tactical" nukes (SCUD A's & B's and FROG's) which would have only threatned Florida...ICBM'S require Hard sites and long term construction which our sattelites would have detected being built.

Yeah, you can protect this country from such attacks in the future...but are we willing to give up our freedoms to do it?

It makes no difference to me, Im a former Captain in the Army..I'm used to strict guidlines and protocol.

So when you gonna enlist and straiten things out Bruh??

LOL......I'll enlist when I get the same rights around here and the same uncle sam that wants me to enlist stops pulling me over for driving in the white neighborhoods.

Naive?

where in the world did you get that stuff about France having just as many nucks as the U.S.?? surely you got a little carried away in trying to make some kind of point and didn't mean to say that.

This is exactly my point. How do you know what another country is capable of or exactly what they have?

1) Assumptions

2) Going off what the government tells you

Hell even if the US had 20 million nukes and France had 10, it wouldn't take 100 to cause a nuclear winter. There's still a sense of invincibility amongst most people in the US.....I guess it'll take more than Sept 11 to make people realize it, which is kinda sad.

But what are you going off of?

You say France has just as many nukes; how do you know that to be a true statement? Where did you get that information?

Also, what would France have to gain by attacking the U.S. when France is a European country that's an allie of the U.S./Britian?

no, it wouldn't take many nukes to cause major environmental damage to the earth, but I'm still wondering where you came up with France having just as many nukes as the U.S. Point taken about blindly believing what the government tells you, but what makes your information so much more correct/believable?

Good Post JST. You feel like I do about France.

Hey MB,
I feel you about the French. I can't stand those damn cowards either. I too was in the Gulf War. Albeit on a Nuclear Submarine, but we were dropping Tomahawk Cruise Missles on Saadam's azz for you ground troops. Yeah , Great Britain and Israel has our back like a mofo!!!
